This course will provide an overview on innovative solutions in concrete development that support sustainable construction and lower the overall environmental footprint of a structure. Many of the nuances and capabilities of sustainable concrete are not widely known and must be considered in your next application. A portfolio of iconic structures already utilizing these innovations will be provided as reference

The session will address the health effects that noise has in the building environment and means of reducing total noise levels and background noise through sound absorbing construction materials. Technical data and statistics will be used to outline the extent of the health effects., and acoustic absorbing materials will be compared and contrasted. Finally, high-end designs will be given as case studies.
