BASF inventory reports rise to meet rigorous LEED v4 standard

BASF can now provide LEED v4-compliant Manufacturer Inventory Reports that satisfy requirements for Building Product Disclosure and Optimization - Material Ingredients, Option 1. GreenCircle Certified, LLC, which provides third-party certification of environmental claims, recently audited and certified BASF's Product Compliance Management Process, assessing the hazards of all the ingredients that make up the product, including impurities.
 
"This certification provides architects, designers and LEED project teams with the information needed to make educated decisions regarding the products they use in the design and execution of structures," said David Green, Sustainability Analyst, BASF Construction Chemicals.
 

Raising the integrity bar

BASF is able to provide certificates for its entire portfolio of construction and performance materials products making BASF one of the largest single providers of LEED v4 compliant manufacturer inventory reports.
 
The reports adhere to requirements of the Globally Harmonized System for the Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, and are equivalent in LEED v4 to Health Product Declaration, Cradle to Cradle, Manufacturer Inventory Reports using GreenScreen benchmark evaluation, and Declare.
