Professional Builder shines the spotlight on energy retrofit using Neopor

Posted on May 14, 2015

The May 2015 issue of Professional Builder explores an exterior retrofit in Northeast Ohio featuring three products that incorporate BASF’s innovative Neopor® rigid thermal insulation to create a highly effective thermal envelope around the exterior of the home.

The retrofit, performed by Kraiger Construction Co. of Zoar, Ohio for homeowners Ben and Kathy Higl, included Halfback®H2O by Progressive Foam Technologies as continuous insulation, CraneBoard® 7-inch clapboard vinyl siding by Royal Building Products, backed by Solid CoRe® insulation and a new fiberglass entry door by JELD-WEN®, which features an insulating core made of Neopor.

The result? Vastly improved energy efficiency that continues to help offset the costs of the remodel through long-term energy savings.
